Testimonials
  • I was a stay at home mum for many years, thoroughly enjoying the privilege of being able to do so.

When the children were older and I had some spare time I volunteered for a listening charity where I heard many a tragic tale and was able to support people through difficult times.  That and my work with the NHS for a few years supporting adults with autism and learning difficulties has perhaps provided me with the inspiration to enter a profession which is a privilege to be a part of and one where I feel I can really help people through a difficult period in their lives and help them to do the best they can for their loved ones.  It is an honour to hear about the person who has died and from that create a service which can really reflect their personality and life.

I have always loved literature, theatre and music.  I belong to a local choir, singing in Winchester cathedral and Romsey Abbey.  Through my experiences of these I feel that I can provide an encouraging and supportive role in the creation of a beautiful service.

I am an independent celebrant, trained by green fuse. I will meet with you in the comfort of your own home, taking the time to listen and hear you in order to get a true sense of the person you have lost and make sure that he or she takes centre stage for the last time.  I will compose a beautiful, individual ceremony that will be both the celebration of a distinctive life and the tender mourning of a loss.  I can help you to find readings and music and other personal touches to make the funeral very special.

Most people these days are not affiliated to a particular religion.   Being unaffiliated however does not mean without beliefs.  I will respect individual views and spiritual beliefs, and compose and conduct an appropriate, well-structured and imaginative ceremony, right from the heart. You, the family and friends, can participate in any aspect of the preparation and holding of the ceremony you wish to. This will be a funeral with soul created just for you.
