Testimonials
  • I have had a long and varied nursing career in community nursing and education. Most recently I have lectured and taught student nurses. I enjoy the arts, poetry and meeting new people.

I now use my skills as an independent Civil Celebrant, aiming to work with you to prepare an exclusive and memorable ceremony – your way, however and wherever you want it. One that honours, gives thanks and celebrates the life of the person who has died.

Having lost my little brother in a road accident I have experienced the importance and healing power of a well created funeral and how the right readings, poetry and music can support the process.

  • Testimonials:

I was going to write to you to thank you so much for managing the funeral. It must be so difficult to try to get to know a person who is no longer there and only with the help of grieving family and friends. You handled it so well and with great sensitivity. Thank you, you helped us get through it all.

We asked Bev to be the celebrant for a funeral in January 2017. Throughout we found her to be very professional and easy to work with, keeping us informed of visits and events, getting the order of service and music to us in time. But most of all the family, quite an exacting family, got on really well with her, finding her to be empathic, caring and efficient, and helping them to produce a beautiful and personal funeral ceremony. I understand she writes each ceremony from scratch especially for the family. Bev not only wrote a eulogy, but she also had to manage other family members to speak which she did with sensitivity. Her presentation of the funeral was excellent, warm, with a good, clear and expressive speaking voice. She also presented herself very well, dressed elegantly and professionally. She brought a presentation script for the family which they greatly appreciated. I recommend her.
